Updates and Staying Connected

I know this is easier said than done, but we should get some updates on here. Especially for the folks who got married, are pregnant, have kiddos that are growing up way too fast, those who moved away, or exciting travelers. I know I'd love to see some pics of all you fine people and your families and see how you've been doing.

Just a thought. I can put some pictures of Floyd, my turtle, on here if that will motivate you. I hope you are all doing well.

Lots of love,
Meredith

P.S. Any word on that BBQ/get-together people were talking about?

School of Medicine Graduation

Hey classmates...here are some pics that Alex took at graduation. You can download them on the blog by dragging them onto your desktop (only know how if you have a mac, sorry!).

See you all in a few weeks!

Isabelle Lily Bramble

Just wanted to update you all on the status of our new addition to the Bramble Family. Isabelle was born last Tuesday, April 29th at 11:51 am. She weighed 6 lbs 3 oz and was 18 inches long (not very big but 3x the size of Madie and not much more than expected given my size). Everything is going well with her and my wife (this was another C-Section). If you ask us, we think that she is pretty much the cutest thing in the entire world, besides Madie who loves being a big sister. I am now in big trouble - outnumbered 3:1 which is not very good odds.

I am just glad that she got here safely and on time. We were pretty sure that she was going to be coming around 28-30 weeks when we were having some problems but everything turned out well. Now I need to take out more school loans to pay off this child. Through the pregnancy, we had 8 ulltrasounds, 16 non-stress tests and 15+ doctor visits. Basically, if I wasn't at the hospital for a rotation, I was at the hospital for the baby. Oh well, she is worth it. Anyways, enjoy the pictures and we will look forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks. Talk to you all soon.

Hello out there

Hey Mandy (and any of you other voyeurs out there). Seems kind of lonely out here in blogger world. Miles is almost five months old now and trying to push up to a crawl. I'm in my pediatrics rotation, boosting my immunity at that petri dish also known as Wee Care. And the snow is flying, so I'm trying to resist the urge to compete with Benjamin for most days skied this season. Life is good. Looking forward to the break, although the masters project is a bit of a shadow looming over any thoughts of complete relaxation. Hope you all are well. Sully

Iowa Ice Storm

Well, this is what it looked like outside this morning as I left for work. I spent 20 minutes cleaning off my car, then 20 minutes driving 5 miles to work, only to find out the clinic was closed. Thanks for the call people!! The freezing rain is supposed to continue until 6pm tonight, so it should be pretty crazy by the end of the day. Looks like I'll stay in our apartment and finally start some pediatrics reading...or watch TV. One of the two is sure to happen. :)

Babies!

Okay guys, it's been a while since I've seen any updates here. I want to know what's going on with everyone.
I got a picture today of one of the babies I delivered in September. It turns out I'm going back to the same rotation in January and I'm really excited.
Happy Holidays to you all. I hope your rotations are going well. Post an update if you get a minute!
